High Maintenance Red Heads
Sa-Ra-Da, Spain
'Sarada' is the name of the cool Mediterranean breeze that blows through these vineyards in southeastern Spain. This red sees only 8-9 months of 2nd year oak, so the texture is fleshy. It reminds us of a fun & friendly Gigondas or Vacqueyras not only because of weight and texture, but because of the flavor profile (a touch of spice:black pepper and meatiness:bacon). A fantastic find from Spain!

Inky purple. Jammy blueberry and mulberry aromas are complicated by notes of spice cake and cracked pepper.
